Play & Park Structures wanted to tap into a child’s vision of what their own personal tree fort might look like, and determined that they might see wooden planks forming simple walls and clusters of branches shaping makeshift roofs, or even cardboard boxes molding a secure door to keep out imaginary invaders. The nostalgic tree fort themed play structure built at Westerly School connects with their mission to innovate learning for curious minds. It captures the childhood spirit of curiosity, creativity, and a sense of place by employing many of the same design elements that a child might use themselves.
